Even though you will find hundreds of millions of blogs, only a small portion of internet users read them. What do they do rather? They watch YouTube. YouTube will be the 2nd most searched search engine behind Google.
However, blogs are good for 1 thing: search engine visitors. Google is the #1 search engine and it’s in love with blogs. The issue with making money blogging as an affiliate for the most part is not the quantity of traffic you generate.
Why is it that you are able to make thousands of dollars from under 1,000 hits of traffic to a static web site or sales page, but not when that exact same quantity of traffic hits a blog? Because usually blogs are just a mess when you land on them. You do not know what to do. You will find advertisements all over the place, AdSense ads, affiliate ads, affiliate links, and 10 pages of content on the front page alone.
The greatest way to make money blogging as an affiliate, in my opinion, is by using a WordPress exit popup Plugin. Whenever somebody tries to leave your weblog, they’re hit with an exit popup. There they have a 50% chance of landing on an offer where you make money.
If you’re not utilizing an exit popup plugin, there’s no way you’re going to get a 50% clickthrough rate on affiliate hyperlinks. You might get 5 clickthroughs out of 100 visits.
