April 11th, 2010 No comments

As soon as you log on to Google AdWords, you will encounter a large number of very useful tools. Adwords tools enable you to proof your ads for errors, choose their placement, optimize your content, and generate an incredible number of useful reports. These reports enable you to assess how your ads are performing against other sites, or in their chosen demographics, and a whole lot more. But probably the most powerful tool you will find is the Google Adwords keyword suggestion tool, an indispensable aid that uses ad data to generate a list of powerful keywords along with their recent search data and cost.

Your first step is to come up with your own list of some basic keywords. This list of no more than 10 to 15 words will provide the AdWords keyword suggestion tool the data it needs to generate new search terms and phrases for you. You can, of course, find these keywords directly on your web pages, but Google can do that for you automatically. Sometimes the best way to start is to brainstorm you own list of terms you think your most profitable visitors would search for if they wanted the content your website provides.

Next, enter your list into the keyword suggestion tool, one word or phrase at a time. You could enter multiple keywords all at the same time, but if were to do this, there’s a high probability the suggestion tool will return a list of hundreds of keywords that don’t really relate to your site. Usually it is a great deal more efficient to limit yourself to entering just one keyword at a time. Allow the keyword suggestion tool generate related terms that you may be able to use.

Whenever you enter a word or phrase into the keyword suggestion tool, it will come back with other keywords or phrases that match websites with similar content. It will also find keywords and phrases from the Adwords campaigns of other site owners who bid on the some of the same words you chose. The suggestion tool estimates traffic per month, tells you how much competition there is for the word or term, and gives you current prices for placement at various levels of the page.

Moreover, the Google Adwords keyword suggestion tool provides you with several dozen more options to get even more useful information about your keywords. The tool allows you to generate monthly traffic charts. These tools tell you how the average monthly popularity of your keywords rises and falls throughout the year. Adwords will generate an estimate of the position of your ad on the page at various bid prices, and you can even retrieve an estimate of the number of clicks you can buy for your budget dollars.

One thing you will learn quickly is that each of these bits of information is equally important in choosing your keywords, but it is still up to you to choose select words that you know are valuable to your service or product. Don’t choose a low competition, high volume phrase just because it is cheap, if it does not help you sell your site. That would be just throwing your money away. But if you do your research and then still stay creative, you can ensure that every keyword you use in your campaign will drive traffic to your site.

What every marketing affiliate needs to do is make these search engines his friend by reading about search engine optimization closely. This way, he’s in a position to have knowledge of what to do in connection with creating a greater website to ultimately use for his business.

Choosing Evening Dresses

April 11th, 2010 No comments

I am 5’2″ and have always been a “dress girl”. To be honest, it is more about how easy it is to put on a dress and be done. No mixing. No matching. I’m ready to head out the door. The only trouble is finding evening dresses that fit my shorter figure. Now that I am in my forties I feel like I have finally gotten it down to a science. While I do love to shop, I don’t love trying things on. Especially the wrong things. Here is what I have chosen up along the way.

One of the most important things when shopping for evening dresses for petites is to look for smaller, simpler silhouettes. I try to avoid overly fussy styles like large ruffles, big prints, and especially full or pleated skirts. These styles just seem to overwhelm my body so that all you see is a dress with appendages. Not good.

There seem to be a lot of dress options in stores this year. I try to find sheaths (slightly slimmer, not the voluminous ones), and empire waist styles. The empire waist works on many body types and I especially like cocktail and evening dresses in this style. They are always pleasing.

For those of us 5’4″ or under, dress lengths should come to the knee or just above it. Evening dresses below the knee will just make you look like you don’t have any legs and will, in fact, make you appear shorter. Be cautious and don’t go too short, or you will look like a teen in a mini dress. If you don’t sew, find a good alteration person to take things up for you. A good expert seamstress will also know how to make your clothes work for you.

There are a couple of rules that I keep in mind from Home Economics class that I think actually are pretty helpful! V-necks are good for shorter women because they focus and bring the eye up to your face. Use a small belt to bring in the waist. Avoid wide belts since they tend to cut you in two. Again, that will make you look shorter.

Look for evening dresses that emphasize your best features or the things you like about yourself. If you have nice toned arms show off that work-out with sleeveless evening dresses. On the other hand, if you don’t like your arms, look for a sleeve or add a shrug, wrap, or short sweater. Also, if you have a nice neck or decolletage, by all means look for evening dresses that highlight your neckline.

As far as colors go, I seem to head for solids or smaller subdued prints. I have to fight a battle with myself to not consistently choose the black. It is so flattering, but after awhile you feel like you have gone goth! I have blue eyes so I do look for colors that bring that out.

The smart Evening Dresses for that date you have been waiting for is very essential.Don’t let your budget limit you in your choices, if you know where to look, you will find fabulous Evening Dresses at a reasonable price.
